owled
i thought that my "sleep disorder" made me a vampire, or something as evanescent as any evil mithological creature, but my dear friend angie killed my illusions: the fact that i can't sleep before 3 a.m. (don't ask me at what time i usually wake up) does not necessarily mean that i'll start craving for blood one of these days - in medical terms, it just mean that i am an owl.
yes, an owl. like this one:

Can you ask angie what is a person who is able to sleep 4 hours a night and be okay, and sleep 12 hours other day and be devastaded - or be okay. It has got to be a weird animal!! *
well, this owl looks more like me than you can imagine, my dear.
And yes, I can ask that. Or maybe she can reply here, if she somehow manages to have the time to read this post.*
I was investisgating about that question and discovered that not even the doctors can explain why does it happens. the explanation that was given to me was that you can sleep less time but have a more relaxing sleep. this is related with many factors like the the fisical problems or external things in the room where we sleep. otherwise, the sleep to much as already inconvinients, according to the neurologist, Teresa Paiva, sleeping to much can devastat us and can also cause depression. I hope I've taken our doubts...
sorry but my english is not the same :)
thank you, angie. you're the best :)
thanks!! i am aware of some fisical problems that might disturb my sleep - and about those, there´s nothing else i can do - but the "external things in the room" is interesting... Sometimes i am almost sleeping and have to get up to remove stuff from one place to another, or i wont be able to fall asleep. Thats funny.. love be in clean and organized places, though my room is never like that.
Patient Li
